And when Caleb tells him a dark secret, he figures Caleb might not be the only Somerhalder with a few tricks up his sleeve. 

Connor Somerhalder: Growing up with two parents that pretty much let him do whatever he wanted, considering his mom believed he was an angel and his dad didn’t care, gave Connor leeway to feel free to do anything, with no consequences. He knows how much his dad favors him, and isn’t afraid to take advantage of it when he needs too. But when his best friend and cousin Luca starts dating the pretty yet totally obnoxious girl down the block, Connor for once can’t get the one thing he wants. Or can he?

Veronica Somerhalder: Popular cheerleader, plenty of friends, and constantly living under the shadow of her older brother. All of this has taken a toll on Veronica. Everyone knows how Connors considered the golden boy, and Veronica is constantly pushed to the side. But when is it going to be too much?

Luca Patterson: Connor’s second in command, they were practically inseparable since they were little. Every single prank Connors pulled, or trouble he’s caused, Luca was right behind him on it. And now he’s landed the girl of his dreams, it seems like everything’s going perfectly. But not everything is really how they appear…

Keira Abruzzo: The Somerhalder’s were always just the assholes down the block. Keira had better things to worry about. Like if her mom would come back. Like making sure that no one could see the dark bruises that littered her body, new ones being given every time her father’s drunk, or if Keira looks too much like her mother for a split second. Yeah, no one can quite understand her.  

Shawn Abruzzo: Blames his failure in politics on everything but himself. If Noelle hadn’t left, if he hadn’t been stuck with Keira as a daughter, anything at all that he could blame. Hitting his daughter may not be the best political campaign, but hey, he has to get the anger out someway. Anyway, there’s not to many rules he asks, except the golden one: Stay clear of the Somerhalders.
